In order to guide participants through the expectations and requirements of the Commission on IP, this workshop will focus mainly on Horizon 2020 and the SME instrument, and give some ideas on how to deal with intellectual property problems throughout the life of the projects, from the writing and evaluation of proposals, the implementation phase and finally the dissemination and exploitation of results.

After this workshop, participants will learn about the benefits of intellectual property management in research and innovation initiatives, for example, using patent search as a source of information in research projects, protecting results and transferring knowledge, and will be able to improve the criteria of "excellence" and "impact" of their projects.
